Have had reseller hosting account for 4 years + with another host and last 2+ years with a certain company based in Belfast (begins with V!) who were an absolute nightmare. Huge amounts of downtime - attitude to customers was shocking - like they were doing you a favour by letting you host with them, and support staff were downright rude on many an occassion. Caused me many a sleepless night. Had lots of domains/sites to move so put off moving for a while but did a fair bit of research and Protec stood out a mile in terms of how satisfied their current customers seem to be. They also answered all my initial questions comprehensively and with no messing around!
They not only added certain mail components which made the transition much easier for me (for no additional charge) but I've hit them with loads of support questions (I think I may be the bane of their lives at present!!) and they've always responded within minutes and with a helpful and courteous response. They really are a breathe of fresh air and show what can be done if you really care about customer service and support.

We used reseller services for several years & became increasingly aggrieved by excessive charges for day to day essentials such as .Net support etc. Protec solution offers everything we need at far less cost with better support and flexibility. Since migrating all our hosted sites in December 2004 we've seen 99% uptime with one minor outage of email (server failure) which was promptly fixed. Can't believe the support from these guys. Every email request is replied to within 5 minutes usually, and they set up additional services faster than I could on my own server! I have 3 reseller accounts with them now... think that proves how good they are (had been through 4 other hosting companies before this). The SQL server is great too, unbelievably fast + they allow you to do full text indexes with daily population!

We had made the mistake of going for a large international company, but their service and support was less then Active, in fact it was non existent.

Having tried and backed out of various reseller packages from both large, famous name services such as verio and fasthosts and smaller services we finally discovered protec web and while the costs and features are similar to others we found the following convincing reasons to take up the full service Reseller 5, and shall shortly take on much more space. Control Panel interface for us as resellers and for our clients is excellent. Scheme Levels for the plans easy to set up, control and market. Excellent CDO range and add-ins for ASP. Very easy database setup and connection strings. Quick and easy response to UD4 connection wizard - this is not true of many other service providers. Support by telephone is good, support by email usually gets a response, and a solution, within the day. We host over 500 web sites on Linux and NT / Windows 200 servers and have provided hosting services for nearly 7 years as a reseller.
